A bizarre hit and run accident left a homeless woman dead in the middle of the road last night.
Witnesses say they saw the victim fall out of Azizur Mazumder' s Toyota Camry and roll into on-coming traffic where she was struck and killed by a yellow cab.
Both drivers fled the scene leaving the badly injured woman in the middle of Lexington Avenue.
Police were able to hunt down and arrest Mr. Mazumder this morning and charged him with reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.
The driver of the cab that ran the woman over is still being sought by the authorities.
The unidentified victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
