Xin Kang Wang, the 74-year-old woman who slammed into an open cab door 10 days ago while riding her bicycle, has died from her injuries.
Witnesses of the incident say the cab driver didn't look for oncoming bicyclist before throwing the door open while stopped in a bike lane.
Ms. Wang crashed into the cab door on May 4th and was being treated for her injuries at Bellevue Hospital until she died this past Sunday.
So far the cab driver has only received a summons for stopping in a bike lane.
