Residents on Astoria Street in Queens are still wagging their tongues about the spectacle that unfolded yesterday.
A mounted NYPD officer came upon a car that was parked illegally. The officer pulled out his citation book, wrote up the offending vehicle, and placed the ticket under the windshield wiper, all without leaving the saddle.
Witnesses say the mounted officer and his trusty steed are neighborhood regulars but this is the first time they've witnessed him dispense justice while still mounted.
The owner of the ticketed PT Cruiser remains oblivious to the Wild West-Fancy Horseback Riding Show his vehicle took part in.
