Suozzi Knows It’s an Uphill Battle for a Democrat to Win on Long Island

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Democrat Tom Suozzi who is running against Republican Mazi Melesa Philp in a special election to fill the seat left when George Santos was expelled from Congress.

Suozzi, who once served as a Senator from NY's 3rd district said, "I know it's an uphill battle for a democrat to win on Long Island, but I'm hoping my experience will work in my favor and help me defeat Mazi Melesa Pilip.

Suozzi said, "People are not happy with politicians sticking to the party line, they want someone working for them on everyday issues like immigration and cost of living expenses. People are sick and tired of politicians attacking each other, they want someone who'll fight for them."

The special election vote is February 23.
