The heartbreaking baby scene played out at the wall around the Kabul airport — where thousands of Afghans are trying to flee from the Taliban-controlled country.
A U.S. air crew was able to evacuate 823 passengers on a single flight, making history and a world record. “When you have women and children and people's lives at stake it's not about capacity or rules or regulations. It's about training and directives to make sure we can get that many people out,” said one airman.
