Case Against Buffalo, NY Police Officers Dismissed

The two New York police officers accused of fracturing a man's skull during a police brutality protest are getting their charges dismissed.

A Buffalo grand jury has chosen not to indict officers Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe, who shoved 75-year-old Martin Gugino to the ground during a protest against racism last June.

Both men were facing a felony second-degree assault charge for the incident. His attorney says Gugino fractured his skull in the fall, which left him unable to walk for a time. A viral video of the incident showed him falling to the sidewalk and his head bleeding as other officers walked by him.

Gugino says he's a little surprised by the lack of an indictment.
