Kanye West’s Bid To Be On New Jersey Ballot Challenged

Kanye West’s bid to become the next president may have hit a snag in New Jersey. A lawyer is now challenging the signatures he submitted to get on the Garden State's ballot as an independent candidate.

Kanye needed at least 800 signatures to get on the ballot, but election lawyer Scott Salmon says of the 1,327 signatures the rapper submitted, 600 are defective, which means he didn’t meet the minimum. Salmon notes that some of the signatures submitted are in the exact same handwriting, while others don’t have complete addresses.
