NJ Dr Saves Tot From Drowning In Hotel Pool

A doctor helped save a three-year-old boy from drowning in a pool in New Jersey. Montvale Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo says a family member got the child out of the shallow end of the pool at a Courtyard by Marriott hotel and Dr. John Blundell, who was visiting from the Buffalo-area, performed CPR and revived the boy before first responders arrived.

Fortunately, Montvale officer Scott Gaston was also nearby when the call came in and he was there soon after and administered oxygen to the boy. Sanfilippo says, “It is incredibly fortunate that the doctor … was in the right place at the right time.”
