Trump Administration Holding Up Congestion Pricing

The feds have hit the brakes on New York’s congestion pricing plan.

Tolls south of 60th Street are supposed to go into effect on January 1st of 2021, but Governor Cuomo said they haven’t gotten the green light from the Trump Administration.

The governor believes this is political payback over the state’s immigration policy. He claimed congestion pricing is being held hostage.

Even if it were approved, many key details of congestion pricing still aren’t known. The biggest is how much it’ll cost drivers.
