What was supposed to be a romantic marriage proposal ended in mayhem at a Howell, New Jersey movie theater.
An unnamed 23-year-old guy owned up to setting off fireworks as part as an elaborate proposal for his best friend. Unfortunately, the explosives were set off close to Xscape movie theater,where movie fans thought they were gunshots…leading to a 911 call and an evacuation.
Police say it was a “poor decision” rather than an “overt act,” and they’ve charged the guy with a fireworks infraction and disorderly conduct. What we don’t know? If she said, “yes.”
