Suspect Shot And Killed By Police In The Bronx

Cops and shot and killed a man in the Bronx after pulling him over for not wearing a seat belt.

The three officers stopped the Volkswagen SUV on East 211th Street on Thursday afternoon. The individual had outstanding warrants and police tried to take the man into custody when a struggle ensued.

Officers attempted to use a stun gun, but it didn’t work.The suspect then got back into the car and attempted to drive away.

“It was after the car went into reverse that the sergeant fired one round from his service weapon, striking the male in the chest,” Chief of Department Terence Monahan said.

The suspect was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

It’s the third police-involved shooting in the last three days.
