Suspect In Murder Of Queens Jogger Convicted

The man accused of killing Queens jogger Karina Vetrano has been found guilty at trial.

It took the jury just a few hours to convict 22-year-old Chanel Lewis on Monday night. He was facing charges of first and second degree murder, as well as sexual abuse.

The courtroom erupted in cheers at the verdict after a previous trial ended in a hung jury.

Vetrano’s murder gained national attention after she disappeared and was later found dead while out jogging near her Howard Beach home.Lewis wasn’t arrested until several months later.
