Coney Island Cop Accused In Intimidation Case

An NYPD officer was charged with intimidating a witness, two counts of official misconduct, and third-degree assault after he allegedly struck and injured Raymond Crespo after the victim accidentally spilled a drink near the patrolling officer in Coney Island.

Crespo who suffered a concussion and a black eye during the scuffle with Officer O'Keefe Thompson reported the incident to local housing officers.

It is alleged that Officer Thompson returned to the area the next day and threatened Crespo.

Both the fight and the argument the following day were caught on video.

The police report indicates that other officers were also involved in the intimidation tactics and are under review.
