An inmate who went missing at Rikers Island has been captured.
Naquan Hill, 24, was found around 3 o’clock on Thursday morning and was still on the island. He went missing about 7:30 on Wednesday night after somehow escaping during recreation time.
Rikers was placed on lockdown as police helicopters flew overhead and officials searched the East River. Visitors to the island were stranded for several years.
Hill is being held at Rikers in connection with a pair of break-ins last year in Queens.
