Mets Crush Padres 9-3 Behind 7-Run 1st Inning + Conforto's 2 HR's

The Mets crushed the Padres tonight 9-3 at Citi Field in the opener of a three game series.

Michael Conforto had a big night drilling two home runs and driving in two on an RBI single in the rout. Conforto drove three of his four runs in the bottom of the first which saw the Mets put up a 7 spot on Padres starter Jhoulys Chacin. Wilmer Flores had and RBI single and Lucas Duda drove in a pair with 2-run double.

Matt Harvey got the win, but still struggled to find his command. He walked four and allowed two runs on just three hits.
