Angels Rough Up Tommy Milone in 12-5 Win Over Mets

Tommy Milone had is worst start in his short tenure as a New York Mets pitcher and the Mets fell 12-5 this afternoon at Citi Field.

The Angels scored 5 runs in the top of the first off Milone with the big blow a grand slam to C.J. Cron to make it 5-0. In the top of the second Milone allowed a 2-run blast to Mike Trout and the a solo shot to Jefry Marte which gave the Angels an 8-0 lead and led Terry Collins to pull his starter after just an inning and a third. 

The Mets would tempt to fight back with a trio of home runs. Solo shots from Matt Reynolds and Curtis Granderson and a 3-run blast from Jay Bruce which made it 9-5. Hansel Robles would try and keep the deficit just four runs, but gave up a 3-run homer to Adrelton Simmons busting the game open for the Angels with a 12-5 lead.
