Police in Suffolk County said the murder of four men in Central Islip may be gang related.
“We will confirm that the manner in which they were killed is consistent with the modus operandi of MS-13,” Suffolk County Police Commissioner Tim Sini said.
The four victims between the ages of 16 and 20-years-old were found dead at a park in Central Islip on Wednesday night. They had significant trauma to their bodies.
Gang activity has been a problem throughout the area. There were a series of arrests earlier this year in connection with the murder of two teenagers in Brentwood.
“This is a long term war. Make no mistake about it, it’s a war,” Sini said.
