This is an activity you won’t see on a New York Tourism brochure.
Having your face smashed with a metal C-clamp while strolling through Times Square.
But that’s what happened to a Spanish tourist Sunday afternoon as he and friends walked near West 51th street at approximately 3:00 pm.
The NYPD are not sure how the scuffle started but were able to apprehend the attacker shortly after the incident occurred.
The man who allegedly swung and struck the tourist in the face has two previous felony arrests on his record.
The victim of the attack refused medical attention according to FDNY records.
