Social Media Threat Investigated At PS 146

An elementary school student used Snapchat to threaten the students and faculty at PS 146 in Howard Beach yesterday.

The social media threat stated that a plan was in place to ‘Shoot Up' the Queens elementary school.

Toya Holness of the NYC Education Department said: "The NYPD swiftly responded and addressed the threat."

Senator Joe Addabbo's office released a statement via Facebook claiming the threat was a hoax and the student behind the threat admitted to the prank.

The NYPD and education department continue to investigate the situation.
