A train that was part of the Staten Island Rapid Transit derailed Thursday afternoon near the St. George terminal.

The last car, containing eight people, went off the track as the train approached the station. There were ninety people total on the train, and all of the customers were safely evacuated off of the cars and onto the terminal platform.

There were no injuries reported from the incident, but service has been suspended on the Staten Island Railway between St. George and Clifton.
