Voters are headed to the polls in Connecticut today, choosing a Republican candidate for governor.

Businessman Tom Foley is the favorite, after losing to Governor Dannel Malloy in the 2010 election by just a few thousand votes.  But he’s receiving a tough challenge from Senate Minority Leader John McKinney.

The winner will take on Governor Malloy in November.

Secretary of State Denise Merrill expects a turnout of 25 to 30 percent of voters.
