Police Commissioner Bill Bratton has unveiled an NYPD pilot program, which will see a small number of officers wearing body cameras.

Sixty cameras will be issued to officers across the five boroughs as a test.

“This is a great advancement overall in terms of more quick resolution of a citizen complaint,” Bratton said.  “As they file a complaint, we can show them, ok this is what you said and this is what the camera shows.  Do you still want to make the complaint?"

If it’s successful, the program could be expanded.
