Heavy rains Monday night have caused flooding in areas of the Tri-State region, with more to come.
A flash flood is in effect until 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, but there is already flooding in many areas. The problem is there is too much water and not enough drainage to accommodate.
Some drivers on Staten Island had to be rescued by the FDNY due to being stranded in flooded areas Monday night.
The flood warning is effective for New York City, New Jersey, and some of New York State until tomorrow morning.
