Police are investigating after more human remains were found on Long Island.

Jose Diaz was at his brother-in-law’s home in Hempstead yesterday, when he found a human arm in the front yard.  He said it was on a grass and dirt area just inside the fence.

Neighbors are shocked at the gruesome discovery.

“It’s just shaken the whole community to see something like this,” Jim Allison told Newsday.

This comes after a partially dismembered woman’s body was found at a parking lot in Bay Shore on Tuesday.  That discovery caused police to search Gilgo Beach, where 10 sets of human remains were found three years ago.

Police don’t believe there’s a link to the remains found at Gilgo Beach.  But they’re investigating whether these two recent discoveries are connected.
