Good news Yankees fans! The captain, Derek Jeter, reportedly will be back in the Yankees lineup Thursday. FoxSports is reporting that Jeter will be back in pinstripes for the first time since breaking his ankle in the 2012 ALCS against the Detroit Tigers.

Jeter played in a rehab game Wednesday night at Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes/Barre and apparently showed the team enough to consider putting Jeter in the lineup Thursday. Jeter is expected to start at either shortstop or DH when the Yankees play the Kansas City Royals at 1pm at Yankees Stadium.
